St. Claire Regional partners with the Look Good...Feel Better Program

St. Claire Regional is partnering with the American Cancer Society to offer the Look Good...Feel Better program to area oncology patients. Cancer can change your appearance, but it can't take away your spirit. Look Good...Feel Better is a free program that helps women look their best during cancer treatment, improving their self-esteem and thereby managing their treatment and recovery with greater confidence.

At Look Good...Feel Better sessions, experienced cosmetologists teach cancer patients beauty tips to help minimize the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. Good makeup application and a wig or turban can bring back your former appearance or create an entirely new one. It's like a makeover for the spirit.

Look Good...Feel Better sessions will be held the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in the Occupation Therapy Room. Advanced reservations are required in order to provide complimentary cosmetics. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Tiffanie Buckner at (606) 325-8251 or Heather LeBrun at (606) 783-6746.

Look Good...Feel Better program  is a partnership between the American Cancer Society, Personal Care Products Council Foundation, and National Cosmetology Association. For cancer information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, call 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit www.cancer.org.
