St. Claire Regional is Growing Its Medical Staff

Sesame Dijeng, M.D. a board certified family physician joined our Emergency Medicine medical staff in April. Dr. Dijeng earned her medical degree at the University of Louisville.  She completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital and the University of Louisville Teaching Hospital.  Additionally, she completed an extended training in occupational medicine at the University of Cincinnati.  Dr. Dijeng mother of both a son and daughter had an opportunity to go back to Botswana where she grew up to work in a diamond mine hospital for 6 years which gave her a lot of trauma, occupational medicine and OB experience. 

Jeff Wicker, M.D., board certified in family medicine physician will join our Emergency Medicine medical staff in May. Dr. Wicker earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where he also completed a Family Medicine internship and residency.  Dr. Wicker, a native of Floyd County and is a definite Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan.  In addition, he enjoys family, meeting new friends, good music, history, arts, and chess.  Dr. Wicker states that he is very happy about joining St. Claire Regional and serving the people of Eastern, KY.

St. Claire Regional’s Medical Staff consists of nearly 100 physicians, representing 31 medical specialties.  We are proud to announce the addition of these physicians to our growing Medical Staff and the region.
